On my way to Germany

I took a flight to Germany. Not a vacation, but for a summer school that I wanted to attend. Ofcourse I travelled all the way to Germany, leaving my 3rd semester classes back at my University to have a good time. So yeah it was kind of a trip that I needed to get a break!

It was this crazy night when Germany played Argentina in the FIFA World Cup Finals. All excited about the match, though not a Team Germany supporter yet wanted Germany to Win as I was traveling to the Deutschland.

The match had started before I boarded the flight. So I could watch first few minutes of the match at the airport. It was time to get in, and so the first thing I asked the flight attendant after greeting was "Is the final match gonna be broadcasted on the flight?" Didn't expect the answer to be a NO as it was a Lufthansa flight. The explanation that I received was that only the new flights had the facility of live broadcasting. But she told me she could update me about the scores. And I was well okay with that.

An hour later I was told that Mario Gotze had scored for Germany and I literally "yeahed" pumping my fist in the air in the flight!! Few people gave a weird look but were later informed that Germany had scored. As most of people were Germans and others traveling to Germany, there were smiles all around.

Meanwhile, as I settled myself in my seat I met this guy from Mumbai (hard to recall his name). Not surprised meeting someone in mid Twenties traveling to Germany. He was working for Vodafone and was traveling to Düsseldorf for 6 months on some offshore project. We Indian are always happy to see fellow Indians in different parts of the world. And I was pretty sure this was just the starting, and I would meet a hundreds of my fellow brothers and sisters in this Alien Land.

So the flight reached Munich. Had a connecting flight to Hannover in 45 minutes. Kept walking walking walking, took long to get me there. Was last one to get on the flight but yeah just on time :D

In no time I was in Hannover. Yes, a long journey had come to an end. Got my baggage and walked to the information desk!!!

One Journey ended, just to give a beginning to a new one.
